I'm working my way through The Next Generation and I'm surprised by how many I actually don't recognize. I'm guessing because I missed a lot of the early seasons. Things are getting more familiar as I get further into it. It's nice to watch a series that I really love, but don't feel quite so invested in, at least not fandomwise.

There isn't much else going on right now. I'm on a standstill right now in regards to graduate school, waiting to hear about financial aid stuff. There are so many reasons why I want this to work out!

On the writing front, I'm still incredibly blocked due to my job slowly killing me, but I have felt some sparks of life in my brains lately. Mostly for little off-shoots of fics I've already written, but it feels nice to write again. I've gotten a great deal of unexpected commentary on Soul Piece lately. That story has been on my mind a lot. No idea if it will make something happen, but I'm reading it again in order to get back in the groove. I'm at the part where Cas is asking Mary if she'll have another kid so Dean won't be lonely. Dumbass.

So yeah. The Reds are trying to become mediocre. Although they've perked up in this series against the Giants. Here's hoping.

Okay, back to Star Trek. I don't have to be back to work for over 24 hours. /bliss

My feet hurt.

I need to remember to update this at least once a month for pete's sake.

A short update of my life is..."I'm busy." Thankfully got a new job so I won't be kicked out of the house, but I'm still adjusting to the new schedule. The worst part is I can't find the mental energy to write very often. I'm still shooting for finishing a spn_j2 BigBang, but we'll see! Once I have less to do in a month or so, I should have more time for writing and I gotta say, I can't effing wait.

My job is not exactly thrilling, but I like a goodly amount of my coworkers and it gets faster each time, so I suppose I'm settling in okay. Still on the lookout for something better, but for now, it's good.

And...let's see. Yeah. Hi!

I keep falling down. First on icy pavement and nearly broke my leg. Then today, I tripped over a stupid spike sticking up out of the ground. Dad bought me some galoshes and they seem to make me trip more than my regular shoes.

Honestly, I just think the earth desires me and keeps pulling me towards itself.

At any rate, my leg is now in a lot of pain. Meh.

But no matter. Today is a productive day! I will finish my homework early! If it takes until the last bus leaves campus, I will finish. Then tomorrow I can write. I'm doing a verse deluge.

The new place rocks, but looks pathetic with our four pieces of furniture. It's definitely a work in progress and having privacy/independence is worth it.

Wow, I just chose my icon and now I desperately miss Doctor Who.

So hi!

There isn't much going on in my life at the moment. Things are coming on the horizon and much planning is being done, but for right now, right this second, I'm having a Stargate:Atlantis phase.

I'd forgotten how much I adore this show. Also, how wonderful it is to watch a show that doesn't make me want to tear my skin off my face due to angst. There are some darker moments in SGA, but for the most part, it's forward-thinking and uplifting(ish) like many space exploration shows are. Which is probably why that's my favorite genre.

Other than that, I'm pretty much just waiting to see if Joey Votto was voted MVP, trying to teach the cat not to eat my feet and gearing up for the months to come.

Anyway, no news yet, but I'll let you guys know. Right now I'm hiding in Starbucks with Brad because it's storming a lot outside. I'm very anxious right now ,but not because of the storm or the jobs. I just need to write. I haven't done any serious writing in days and it's built up in my chest really bad right now. I'm working on Soul Piece at the moment. I hope I can get it all out on that next chapter. I am sorry for taking so long, but between my anxious job hunt and other random RL things, I haven't had the words.

The music on sounds like something out of an old Supernatural episode.
